As predicted by his school principal, Pranav Goyal became the all-India topper of the JEE Advanced 2018. A student of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, Pranav was the non-medical stream topper in the Chandigarh Tricity region. “I want to study computer science engineering from IIT Bombay and then want to get into the start-up business.”, he said.
In an interview, he said that “A lot of hard work went into it. A lot of motivation and guidance from my teachers and parents helped me clear the hurdles. A planned approach is the key to success. I was aiming to be among top 10, but towards the end, I wanted to be rank 1,”
“If you focus well, the number of hours you put in doesn’t really matter. I tried not to be stressed and took regular breaks. When I was studying, I wasn’t thinking about breaks, and when I was on a break, I didn’t stress about studies,” he added.
He starts studying for JEE Main when he was in 11th class. He studies almost 12 hours a day. For 1st one and a half year, he prepared for JEE Main then in remaining time he prepared for JEE Advance. As soon as his board exams acquired over, he simply focussed on boards.
